Immersive processing for up to 20 channels
Trinnov Altitude16 is an audio-video processor for immersive home theater systems, with processing for up to 20 discrete channels and Trinnov technologies dedicated to acoustic calibration.
It shares the processing architecture of the Altitude platform and integrates Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D decoding. The processor operates at 64-bit floating point, handles native audio up to 24-bit/96 kHz and combines 16 balanced analog outputs with S/PDIF outputs to reach 20 channels. Product code THOM003673.

Immersive audio without layout restrictions
Altitude16 decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Pro for up to 20 discrete channels and supports Auro-3D up to 13.1. Within the available 20 channels it imposes no specific loudspeaker-layout restrictions: multiple side-surround speakers and multiple subwoofers can be managed, depending on the outputs available.
Optimizer and 3D Remapping
Optimizer technology analyzes loudspeaker and room response through acoustic measurement and allows adjustment of level, delay, phase and frequency response. Remapping uses the coordinates measured by the 3D microphone - distance, azimuth and elevation - to adapt reproduction to the actual loudspeaker positions in the room.
Bass management and active crossovers
Low-frequency management allows high-pass and low-pass filters, filter types and slopes to be defined, routing the content of each channel to one or more subwoofers. Altitude16 also supports active crossovers up to four ways and can redistribute low frequencies between loudspeakers with different low-frequency capabilities.
HDMI 2.1 and video up to 8K
The video section provides 8 HDMI 2.1 inputs and 2 outputs with HDCP 2.3. It supports signals up to 4K 120Hz and 8K 60Hz, with maximum 40Gbps bandwidth on inputs and outputs, plus HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision. HDMI output 1 includes ARC/eARC and key information can be displayed on screen.
Audio connections and conversion
Connections include 16 balanced XLR analog outputs, one stereo XLR input, one stereo RCA input and four S/PDIF inputs, two optical and two coaxial. The two S/PDIF outputs, one optical and one coaxial, extend the total capacity to 20 channels when combined with the analog outputs.
Processing, power and chassis
The hardware uses an Intel multicore processor with 64-bit floating-point processing, 24-bit/96 kHz A/D converters and 24-bit/192 kHz D/A converters. Power input is 100-240 V with maximum consumption of 76 W. The chassis measures 438 x 139 x 430 mm, weighs 11.3 kg and has a shipping weight of 18.2 kg; 3U rack ears are included.
