Three identical channels give the LCR front stage the same power reserve
Anthem MCA325 GEN2 is a 3-channel power amplifier rated at 225 W x 3 into 8 ohms, 400 W x 3 into 4 ohms and 600 W x 3 into 2 ohms, with RCA/XLR inputs and Advanced Load Monitoring.
The three-channel configuration is a natural fit for the LCR front stage of a home cinema: left, centre and right receive the same amplification and current capability. Symmetrical construction, twin toroidal transformers and MCA GEN2 circuitry allow one chassis to be dedicated to the three loudspeakers carrying the greatest load during films and multichannel music.

Three channels for the LCR front stage
MCA325 GEN2 assigns a complete power-amplifier channel to each front left, centre and right loudspeaker. In home cinema this gives the same reserve to the three channels responsible for dialogue, soundtrack information and much of the energy across the front soundstage.
225 watts for every channel
Each channel delivers 225 W into 8 ohms, 400 W into 4 ohms and 600 W into 2 ohms. Power is therefore not concentrated only on the stereo fronts: the centre channel receives the same drive capability, useful with matching LCR speakers or high-dynamic-range systems.
Symmetrical construction
The internal layout is symmetrical across all three channels and uses twin toroidal power transformers. High-current bipolar transistors, oversized heatsinks and simplified signal paths are part of the GEN2 revision, designed to reduce noise and internal wiring.
Advanced Load Monitoring
ALM™ continuously monitors temperature, current and voltage and intervenes only when operating conditions exceed safe limits. If a fault affects one channel, the others can continue operating; full functionality is restored automatically once the abnormal condition clears.
Connections and automation
Each channel provides RCA and XLR inputs, allowing unbalanced or balanced connection according to the processor. A 12V trigger and automatic signal sensing simplify coordinated power-up in racks and dedicated home cinema installations.
A modular system with other MCA models
With AVM70 or AVM90, MCA325 GEN2 can power the LCR front stage while an MCA525 handles surrounds and additional channels, or it can be combined with MCA225 for more specific layouts. The series therefore lets the system use only the number of amplifier channels actually required.
