Forest refined with selected crossover parts, WBT terminals and adjustable rake
Totem Forest Signature is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a 6.5-inch woofer, aluminium/titanium tweeter and stated extension down to 28 Hz.
It develops the Forest platform by concentrating on areas that matter in fine system tuning: upgraded crossover components, WBT terminals, a machined rear plate and a support system allowing rake-angle adjustment. Sensitivity and impedance remain close to the standard Forest, but bandwidth is slightly wider and the recommended amplifier range extends further.
Key features
- Slim two-way floorstanding architecture.
- Mid/bass section using a 6.5-inch woofer with 3-inch voice coil.
- 1-inch aluminium/titanium-dome tweeter.
- Specified in-room response of 28 Hz-22 kHz ±2 dB.
- 8-ohm nominal impedance with a stated 6.4-ohm minimum.
- Declared sensitivity of 87 dB.
- Recommended amplifier power from 50 to 225 W.
- Compensated second-order crossover network centred at 2.5 kHz.
The difference from Forest lies in the implementation
Forest Signature does not radically alter the size or basic architecture of the standard model. The Signature version adds Clarity MR capacitors, dedicated bypass components, foil resistors, larger air-core inductors and WBT terminals. Adjustable rake angle also makes it possible to refine geometric alignment for a particular listening position.
Greater extension and operating margin
Stated response reaches 28 Hz rather than 30 Hz and extends to 22 kHz instead of 20 kHz. Recommended power also rises to 225 W. These are modest numerical differences, but they fit a product intended less to change category than to refine control, precision and adaptability within the Forest concept.
Room integration and amplifier matching
The cabinet remains relatively compact at roughly 91 cm high and under 20 cm wide. Totem specifies about 30-180 cm from the rear wall and 1.2-3.6 m between speakers, so it can work in medium rooms while retaining useful scope in larger spaces. Its nominal 8-ohm load also makes it compatible with a broad range of high-quality amplifiers. Its articulated front claw and rear skid plate also allow cabinet attitude to be altered while preserving controlled mechanical support. This is useful when the listening seat sits unusually close to or far from the tweeter's acoustic axis. The more elaborate crossover becomes particularly relevant in transparent systems where source and amplification can reveal smaller changes in microdynamics and texture.
