Round Thin-Line ceiling speaker with a 6.5" woofer
The Sonance VX62R TL is a round speaker for ceiling installation in the Thin-Line version, supplied with a white Micro Trim grille. Sold as a pair.
The speaker pairs a cloth dome tweeter with a woofer whose polypropylene cone has a textured surface. Dispersion is handled by a waveguide with a sinusoidal texture, and the crossover is the CDX type, which Sonance describes as giving warmth and detail whatever the volume.
Key features
- 1" tweeter (25 mm) with a cloth dome, Ferrofluid cooling and a rear acoustic chamber
- 6.5" woofer (165 mm) with a textured cone in polypropylene and a rubber surround
- Frequency response from 45 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 3 dB)
- Power handling from 5 to 125 W RMS
- Sensitivity of 89 dB (2.83 V/1 m)
- Satin Brilliant White finish
Installation
The cut-out has a diameter of 210 mm and the mounting depth is 74 mm. Besides the standard single-stage installation there is an optional two-stage one: cabling and space reservation are done before construction, and the job ends when the speaker module is snapped into place.
Finishes and grilles
The VX62R TL ships with the white Micro Trim grille. The grille styles Sonance provides are Micro Trim, Trimless and TRUFIG-mounted Trimless; the optional TRUFIG finish aligns the speaker with the surface for a smooth, flush result.
