Screenline Living Velvet Curved: the frame screen covered in black velvet, curved
Living Velvet is Screenline's frame screen with a 10 cm aluminium frame covered in black velvet, which absorbs stray light and raises the contrast of the picture. Inside, the profile is set at a 45° angle, which also suits ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors.
This is the curved version of the screen. The fabric is fixed to the back of the frame and stays taut, with no ripples. On this page you find the 16:9 and 2.35:1 formats.
Key features
- Curved version
- 10 cm aluminium frame covered in black velvet, 45° inner profile
- 16:9 format: five sizes, base from 200 to 400 cm
- 2.35:1 format: five sizes, base from 200 to 400 cm
- Hanging brackets included
- Seven projection surfaces: five for front projection, one for both sides and one for rear projection
The surfaces
- Diamond (front projection, gain 1.2): very soft white PVC with a black back, not transparent. It is the stretch fabric of frame screens: even after being folded it lies flat again in about ten minutes.
- Microperforated (front projection, sound-transparent, gain 1.05): lets through the sound of speakers placed behind the screen, with 0.4 mm holes you cannot see while projecting. Screenline gives 406 x 228 cm as the largest size.
- Grey High Contrast (front projection, gain 0.8): soft grey PVC that makes dark colours deeper; Screenline indicates it for projectors above 1,500 ANSI lumens.
- Radiance 0.6 (front projection in ambient light, gain 0.6): reflective PVC with mineral microparticles, for high-contrast projection even in a normally lit room. On Living Velvet Curved it goes up to the 350 cm base.
- Radiance 0.8 (front projection in ambient light): highly reflective PVC with mineral microparticles, for bright, well-contrasted pictures in normally lit rooms. On Living Velvet Curved it goes up to the 300 cm base.
- Dual Face (front and rear projection, gain 0.95): translucent PVC that works from both sides, one side at a time, with high brightness and a wide viewing angle.
- Ambra (rear projection, gain 2.5): soft, thin fabric for projecting from behind, very bright. Its green tint makes it less sensitive to ambient light without shifting the colour balance.
