REL No.35

Reference powered sealed subwoofer with a 30 cm 12K carbon fibre front driver and a 900 W RMS class AB/D amplifier.

No.35: the design

The Serie Reference is the top of the REL range. The No.35 has a 30 cm long-throw front driver with a pure 12K-weave carbon fibre cone, a die-cast aluminium chassis and redesigned suspension. It is driven by a 900 W RMS class AB/D amplifier, which combines a high-current power supply, with a toroidal transformer of about 7.7 kg, with a class D output stage. In room it reaches down to 17 Hz (−6 dB).

The curved cabinet has internal bracing and a twelve-coat gloss black lacquer, applied and polished by hand. The dual parametric equaliser adapts the bass to the room; the No.35 can be used alone, as a stereo pair or in a Line Array stack.
