T1 EVO BT: three ways to connect it
Of the three models in the range, the T1 EVO BT offers the most ways of connecting. You can take the unamplified cartridge signal to an outboard phono stage, use the internal preamplifier to feed a line input, or send the music over Bluetooth 5.0 with the aptX HD codec to wireless headphones and speakers. For wired connections a Connect it Phono E RCA lead of low capacitance is supplied with the deck.
The electronics do not alter the thinking behind the design, which remains a turntable built around inert materials. The heavy, solid plinth is CNC-milled and contains neither plastic nor cavities; the platter is an 8 mm slab of blasted glass with no resonance of its own. The feet damp vibration arriving from the furniture and the room, and a dust cover on adjustable hinges is included.
The belt turns an enlarged sub-platter running on a 0.001 mm precision bearing, with a hardened steel shaft and brass sleeve; speed is selected by an electronic control. The 8.6-inch arm, stiff and light, is aluminium made in one piece with its headshell and works on low-friction bearings. It carries a moving-magnet Ortofon OM 10 with an elliptical diamond tip, fitted and adjusted at the factory.
