The Debut PRO B White Edition is the all-white special edition of the Debut PRO B: a belt-drive turntable with an 8.6-inch arm, the balanced Pick it PRO Balanced MM cartridge and provision for a True Balanced connection.
Debut PRO B White Edition: what changes
This edition takes over the mechanics and accessories of the Debut PRO B and changes its dress, which here is white throughout. The bearing-block components, CNC-milled, are painted rather than nickel-plated. The arm on this edition is an 8.6-inch aluminium tube made in one piece, stiff and damped, with 218.5 mm of effective length.
The cartridge is the Pick it PRO Balanced, an MM prepared for True Balanced connection. As on the Debut PRO B, the signal leaves both through RCA sockets and through a balanced mini XLR connector: to use the latter you need a True Balanced cable and a phono stage with balanced input, bought separately. The arm base allows azimuth and VTA to be set, and height varies continuously once two grub screws are slackened, which helps when you change mat or cartridge.
The platter is heavy aluminium, non-magnetic, with an inner TPE ring that damps resonance. Drive is by belt, which keeps motor vibration away from the cartridge; speeds are electronically controlled and selected with a toggle, while for 78 rpm a round belt comes in the box. Three damped aluminium feet, adjustable in height, complete the plinth.
