Reserve R600: twin 6.5" drivers per tower
The floorstanding pair has a larger mid-bass section than the R500.
The pair of Polk Audio Reserve R600 speakers scales up a stereo or home cinema front stage from the R500. Each tower combines a 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator tweeter with two 6.5" Turbine Cone woofers. It remains a two-way design, while the larger drivers and deeper enclosure provide more radiating area without moving to the R700 three-way layout.
Each speaker measures 280.7 x 1063.8 x 381.6 mm including its feet and weighs 21.5 kg. Allow adequate floor space and stable placement; spikes and pads suit different floor surfaces. A stereo amplifier or AV receiver drives the towers via single five-way binding posts.

Between the R500 and R700
A floor-firing Power Port works with X-Port to address unwanted resonances. The R500 has a rear X-Port; the R700 adds a Turbine Cone midrange driver and two 8" woofers with dual binding posts. The R600 thus changes the scale of bass reproduction without the larger tower's dedicated bass drivers.
Stated overall response is 32 Hz-50 kHz, with -3 dB limits of 43 Hz-38 kHz. The distance between the towers and the main listening position helps shape a balanced stereo image. Compatible Reserve R900 height modules can sit on the towers for height channels and are sold separately.
For films and television, a Reserve R400 centre can complete the front stage while keeping the same speaker family. Plan the receiver channels and room layout alongside the stereo pair.
