GO 10SW: woofer and enclosure
The GO 10SW is a band-pass design using one long-throw driver, sealed inside a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) enclosure meant to be buried. Its 254 mm woofer has a high-compliance cone of polypropylene loaded with mica; the NBR rubber surround is stitched to the diaphragm, a method that copes with large excursions. It is driven by an oversized 51 mm voice coil, wound in four layers on a glass-fibre former and sized for high power.
Stated on-axis response covers 33 to 135 Hz within ±3 dB, with bass extension reaching 28 Hz. Sensitivity is 88 dB in room and 82 dB anechoic, impedance 8 ohms. The subwoofer accepts amplifiers from 15 to 1000 W and tolerates a maximum input of 400 W. When digging, allow for 60.9 cm of height and 45.7 cm of depth, and a weight of 21.8 kg.
Within the Garden Oasis range the subwoofer is what extends the satellites' response downwards. The system is modular and can be enlarged later; it runs from any 8 ohm amplifier, with the voltage taps set from the table Paradigm supplies according to how many satellites and subwoofers are fitted and how long the cables are. For Garden Oasis subwoofers the maker states an IP58 class, and the mushroom hood protects the driver while it spreads the bass.
