Primare NP5 Prisma MK2: a compact network player with digital outputs
NP5 Prisma MK2 is a small network player that brings Prisma technology to any component equipped with a digital input, whether made by Primare or by another manufacturer. It connects to an external D/A converter or to an amplifier with digital inputs and supplies it with streaming, playback of stored files and multi-room operation. Its small size lets it join a system without being noticed.
The functions are those of the Primare models that have Prisma built in: operation from a mobile device with the usual streaming apps and with the Prisma application, wired or wireless connection, stored music and streamed music. The digital output is also configured from the application. MQA is supported.

Streaming and control
The usual apps give access to online music services, among them high-resolution platforms such as Tidal HiFi and Qobuz. Voice control, with Google Home devices and with Google Assistant, and library management with Roon are provided. Through the RS232 port the NP5 Prisma MK2 operates the volume, the mute, the standby and the choice of input on earlier Primare models.
