The LS5/9 has a history rooted in the BBC, where it was originally designed as a monitor for recording studios. Following the success of the LS3/5°, the BBC wanted to create a loudspeaker capable of delivering higher sound pressure and accurate reproduction of every musical genre, from pop to classical. The goal was to achieve coloration-free sound, ideal for mixing and recording work. Over the years, the LS5/9 has become a standard in the music studio industry, prized for its ability to deliver high SPLs, powerful bass, and controlled, precise playback.
Now, Musical Fidelity have included this special speaker in their range, retaining the integrity of the original design and enhancing the speakers to deliver an even more rewarding listening experience.
