Primare CD35 Prisma: CD player and network streamer with the Prisma board
CD35 Prisma is a complete digital source: it plays CDs, stored music files and streamed music, and it joins the home network either by cable or wirelessly. Compared with the CD35 it adds the Prisma board, already fitted, which brings streaming, multi-room playback, a USB input and management from the Prisma app.
Discs are read by a dedicated TEAC drive that hands the digital signal to a conversion stage built around the eight-channel ESS Sabre chip; from there the analogue signal reaches the output stage. The output works in two ways: at fixed level the player is the source of a hi-fi system, at variable level it also acts as the control centre of a setup based on powered loudspeakers. The construction is modular and leaves room for future modules and functions.
