The KEF R7 Meta are high-end 3-way floorstanding speakers that embody the ideal balance between ease of placement in the room, bass extension and tonal refinement. Positioned between the R5 and the range-topping R11, they adopt the 12th generation of the Uni-Q driver with MAT™ technology, offering a wide, coherent soundstage, absolute neutrality and deeper bass thanks to the two 165 mm woofers.
12th-gen Uni-Q, MAT™ and Shadow Flare
The coaxial Uni-Q system (25 mm aluminium tweeter + 125 mm midrange) works together with MAT™ (Metamaterial Absorption Technology), which absorbs up to 99% of the unwanted resonances of the tweeter for a cleaner, more natural sound. The Shadow Flare, derived from the Reference Series, reduces diffraction on the front baffle, improving dispersion and focus: listening remains precise and airy over a wide area, without the constraint of the sweet spot.
Complete performance and home integration
Ideal for medium-sized rooms, the R7 Meta combine an extremely rigid cabinet with targeted damping (Flexible Decoupling Chassis) and twin flexible bass-reflex ports optimised using computational fluid dynamics. The result is a deep but controlled sound, excellent both in stereo and as front speakers in high-level home cinema systems. The Black Gloss, White Gloss, Walnut finishes and the Titanium Gloss Special Edition complete an elegant, contemporary design.
