Description
The high-power active subwoofer for Hi-Fi and Home Cinema
The KEF Kube 12 MIE is the active subwoofer in the Kube range designed to uncover the hidden depths of sound, enriching any Hi-Fi or Home Cinema system with deep, controlled and dynamic bass. The 12” (300 mm) woofer in a sealed enclosure, driven by 300 W RMS Class D amplification, offers an ideal balance of sound pressure, precision and in-room integration. The adoption of the proprietary Music Integrity Engine® (MIE) DSP takes performance to a higher level in its price bracket.
Music Integrity Engine® and iBX: intelligent depth and control
The MIE coordinates amplifier, driver and cabinet for a coherent and natural response, while iBX (Intelligent Bass Extension) dynamically extends the low range while maintaining cleanliness and impact at any listening level. The result is a subwoofer capable of authoritative bass without boominess, ideal for both music and film soundtracks.
Installation versatility and complete control
Designed for rooms including large ones, the Kube 12 MIE offers LFE, line and high-level inputs, phase selection, an adjustable low-pass crossover and 3 DSP EQ presets to optimise placement. It is also compatible with the KEF KW1 wireless adapter (optional) for cable-free installations. The understated, compact design makes it easy to place in any interior.
