THX Ultra architectural speaker with MAT™ technology
The KEF Ci250RRM-THX is a flush-mount architectural speaker designed for home theatre systems of the highest level, combining power, precision and aesthetic integration. It is the first KEF architectural speaker with Metamaterial Absorption Technology MAT™, alongside the 12th-generation Uni-Q array, Cavity Radiation Control technology and the Low Diffraction LF Aperture design. This combination delivers wide, natural, high-fidelity sound reproduction, intended for home cinema rooms, large living rooms and custom installations where the sound has to be immersive but the speaker almost invisible.
Three-way coaxial sound for large home theatres
The KEF Ci250RRM-THX is a three-way coaxial speaker designed to offer a precise and engaging soundstage from several listening positions. Uni-Q technology acts as a point sound source, distributing the sound evenly and widening the sweet spot. MAT™ technology absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound coming from the rear of the tweeter, improving the cleanness and naturalness of the high frequencies. The Cavity Radiation Control system in turn helps to reduce the issues typical of three-way coaxial speakers, ensuring a more realistic and coherent midrange.
Deep bass, THX certification and discreet installation
Part of KEF's Extreme Home Theatre range, the Ci250RRM-THX incorporates a 250 mm LF woofer, a 100 mm Uni-Q array and a 19 mm vented aluminium tweeter with MAT™. The frequency response extends down to 28 Hz in the open-backed configuration, while the maximum sound pressure level reaches 111 dB, offering impact, dynamics and great realism with films, music and surround effects. The THX® Certified Ultra certification makes it suitable for large home cinema rooms and advanced living spaces, with a performance designed to respect the tonal balance of the original film productions.
Robust design, magnetic grille and IP64 protection
The KEF Ci250RRM-THX is designed to fit elegantly into the most carefully finished rooms. The Ultra-Thin Bezel edge keeps the visible frame to a minimum, while the paintable magnetic grille allows the speaker to blend into ceilings and walls. The IP64 certification guarantees protection against dust and splashes of water, extending the installation options to more demanding settings as well. The mechanical structure is designed to simplify mounting and to offer solidity, reliability and consistent performance over time.
