The KEF Ci200RR-THX is an architectural in-ceiling speaker designed for high-end custom home theatre systems. Part of the Ci-R Series range, it combines acoustic solutions derived from the KEF Reference tradition with technologies developed specifically for in-wall and in-ceiling installations. Thanks to the Uni-Q driver, the 200 mm woofer and the 38 mm tweeter, it offers a wide, powerful and coherent soundstage, ideal for in-ceiling LCR applications in cinema rooms, advanced living rooms and large surround systems.
THX® Certified Ultra certification for cinematic sound
The KEF Ci200RR-THX is THX® Certified Ultra, a standard intended to guarantee high performance in substantial home theatre configurations. The design follows criteria inspired by professional studio speakers, with the aim of reproducing in the home the tonal balance of the original film mix. Action sequences are more energetic and engaging, while dialogue and soundtracks retain naturalness, clarity and great presence. It is a solution suited to integrated 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 systems.
Uni-Q technology and traditional-speaker performance
The heart of the KEF Ci200RR-THX is the Uni-Q system, designed to distribute sound evenly and offer more coherent listening even from different positions in the room. The tweeter, with a 38 mm voice coil, vented aluminium dome and tangerine waveguide, delivers precise, detailed high frequencies. The woofer, with an oversized magnet and Z-flex surround, ensures controlled bass and a response extending down to 33 Hz in an open-backed configuration. The result is a flush-mount speaker capable of offering the impact and sound image of a traditional home theatre system.
Discreet in-ceiling installation for fine interiors
The KEF Ci200RR-THX makes it possible to achieve high performance without compromising the look of the room. The round flush-mount format blends discreetly into the ceiling, making it ideal for private cinema rooms, refined living spaces and installations in which the speakers have to be as invisible as possible. With a sensitivity of 90 dB, a nominal impedance of 4 Ohm and recommended power up to 190 W, it is a solid choice for custom projects with high dynamics and great sound quality.
