Round in-ceiling speaker with 200 mm Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci200.2CR is a round two-way flush-mount speaker from the Ci-C series, designed to offer an ideal introduction to the world of custom installation speakers with KEF's distinctive technologies. Sold singly, it is fitted with a 200 mm (8") woofer with a 16 mm (0.6") aluminium dome tweeter with tangerine waveguide in a Uni-Q® configuration, for a frequency response from 45 Hz to 20 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) and the paintable magnetic grille ensure discreet aesthetic integration, while the IP64 certification also makes it suitable for environments subject to humidity. The optional RIF200R pre-installation frame and the optional RNC200R rear enclosure complete the installation options.
Uni-Q®: wide, even dispersion at every point in the room
The 200 mm Uni-Q® driver places the 16 mm aluminium dome tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the woofer, so that the two act as a single point source. The result is wide, even sound dispersion throughout the room — KEF's "sit anywhere" technology allows the listener to hear the sound with full fidelity regardless of their position relative to the speaker, without having to stand directly beneath it.
Shallow mounting depth, 8-inch woofer
With a sensitivity of 90 dB — among the highest in the Ci range — a response that extends down to 45 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 125 W into 8 Ω, the Ci200.2CR is the ideal solution for large rooms, listening rooms and high-level multiroom distribution. The mounting depth of only 97.2 mm allows it to be installed where other 8-inch speakers in the same category would not find space, thanks to its extremely shallow design.
Flexible installation with dedicated accessories
With an external diameter of 289.6 mm and a depth of 103.3 mm, the Ci200.2CR requires a cut-out of 240 mm in diameter and fits ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 37 mm. The optional RIF200R pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction, while the optional RNC200R rear enclosure improves the low-frequency response and the acoustic isolation from the cavity.

The Ci200.2CR is the gateway to the KEF Ci-C series, designed for those approaching the world of architectural speakers without giving up KEF's reference technologies. The Weather Resistant treatment with IP64 certification protects the components from humidity and UV rays, extending the installation options to bathrooms, kitchens and uncontrolled environments. The flat grille and the Ultra-Thin Bezel profile make it almost invisible once installed in the ceiling.
