Round in-ceiling speaker with Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci160QR is a round two-way flush-mount speaker designed to blend into ceilings with the utmost discretion, filling the room with wide, even sound thanks to the KEF Uni-Q® driver. Sold individually, it combines a 160 mm (6.5") woofer with a 19 mm aluminium tweeter with Tangerine Waveguide in a Uni-Q® configuration for a frequency response from 38 Hz to 34 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) frame and the gold-plated spring terminals complete a construction refined in every detail. For those who need the square format, the Ci160QS model offers the same drivers in a square-edged version, while the Ci160QL is available in the rectangular format.
Uni-Q® with Tangerine Waveguide: maximum sound coverage with fewer speakers
The KEF Uni-Q® driver places the 19 mm tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the 160 mm woofer, so that both act as a single point source. The Tangerine Waveguide optimises high-frequency dispersion for crystal-clear, even sound throughout the room. The result is wide sound coverage that allows fewer speakers to be installed than with conventional solutions, while also optimising the perceived soundstage.
Full-range performance and quick installation
With a sensitivity of 89 dB, a response reaching down to 38 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 125 W into 8 Ω, the Ci160QR delivers rich, balanced sound suited both to background music and to more involved listening in any area of the home or commercial space.
Flexible, discreet in-ceiling installation
With an external diameter of 234.6 mm and a mounting depth of 91 mm, the Ci160QR fits ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 36 mm. The required cut-out has a diameter of 196 mm. The optional RIF160R pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction or renovation.
