Square in-wall or in-ceiling speaker with Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci130QS is a square two-way flush-mount speaker designed to blend into walls and ceilings with the utmost discretion, ensuring wide, even sound coverage thanks to the KEF Uni-Q® driver. Sold individually, it combines a 130 mm (5.25") woofer with a 19 mm tweeter in a Uni-Q® configuration for a frequency response from 45 Hz to 34 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) frame keeps the visible edge to a minimum for flawless visual integration. For the round in-ceiling format, the Ci130QR model is available, while for a completely frameless solution the Ci130QSfl (square) and the Ci130QRfl (round) are available.
Uni-Q®: even sound coverage with fewer speakers
The KEF Uni-Q® driver places the 19 mm tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the 130 mm woofer, so that both act as a single point source. The result is wide, even sound dispersion throughout the room, which makes it possible to cover the room with fewer speakers than conventional solutions, while also optimising the perceived soundstage.
Compact format, installation in under two minutes
With a sensitivity of 87 dB, a response reaching down to 45 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 100 W into 8 Ω, the Ci130QS is the ideal solution for smaller rooms, secondary zones and multiroom distribution. With a mounting depth of just 77.9 mm and external dimensions of only 184 × 184 mm, it fits easily even where the available space is limited. The KEF fixing system has it up and running in under two minutes from cutting the hole.
Flexible in-wall or in-ceiling installation
With external dimensions of 184 × 184 mm and a mounting depth of 77.9 mm, the Ci130QS fits walls and ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 24 mm. The required cut-out is 158 × 158 mm. The optional RIF130S pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction, while the optional RNC130S rear enclosure improves bass response and acoustic isolation from the cavity.
The compact speaker for every zone of the system
The Ci130QS is designed for bathrooms, corridors, kitchens, offices and any room where a 130 mm driver is the most suitable choice in terms of size and required power. It integrates perfectly with the other speakers in the KEF Ci-Q series — including its round twin, the Ci130QR, and the frameless versions Ci130QSfl and Ci130QRfl — ensuring the same Uni-Q® sonic signature at every point of the installation.
