Tremendous sound in a tiny package
JL Audio Dominion d110 is a sealed powered subwoofer with a 10-inch driver and a 750 W RMS (short-term) Class D amplifier, offered in Black Ash and Gloss Black finishes.
The Dominion range pairs a long-excursion driver with a Class D amplifier inside a small cabinet, for systems where there is little room to spare. Signal processing is of studio grade, the fabric grille comes off and the stated frequency response runs from 27 to 111 Hz, within ±1.5 dB in anechoic conditions.
Key features
- 10-inch long-excursion driver

- Removable fabric grille
Class D amplifier
The amplifier is a Class D design fed by a closely regulated switching supply: this lets it swing a high output voltage without clipping and make full use of the long-excursion driver. Power-on is automatic, triggered when a signal is sensed at the input.
Signal processing
The built-in crossover filters the signal through a Linkwitz-Riley low-pass at 24 dB/octave, while the phase and polarity controls help blend the subwoofer with the main loudspeakers. Level is variable, from full mute up to +15 dB above reference gain. The inputs take a line signal, on two RCA sockets in stereo or mono, or a high-level signal taken from loudspeaker outputs, with isolated or grounded input.
Cabinet and driver
The cabinet is built from CNC-cut MDF with dense internal bracing, to hold the pressures the driver generates. The driver has a cast-alloy frame and uses JL Audio technologies: DMA modelling of motor, suspension and cone, for long and linear excursion at low distortion, and a lead-wire arrangement designed to stay quiet even at the widest excursions.
JLink connection
Dominion d110 works with the JLink wireless connection system and has a dedicated port where the JLink receiver plugs in directly.
