JBL MA9100HP: 9.2-channel AV receiver, 8K, Dirac Live Ready
The MA9100HP is the nine-channel model of the MA series and, set beside the MA310, MA510, MA710 and MA7100HP, it is the one with the highest power: 140 W per channel into 8 ohms. The two channels it adds over the MA7100HP allow DTS:X and Dolby Atmos systems with four height loudspeakers (5.1.4), besides the 7.1.2 and 9.1 layouts. Chassis, HDMI sockets and network features are those of the MA7100HP.
Each channel has its own low-noise Class D stage, and the front left and right channels accept a bi-amp connection. The unit is Dirac Live Ready: the automatic room correction program is enabled by buying a Dirac licence, and EZ Set EQ equalisation is the alternative. A turntable connects to the moving-magnet phono input; streaming runs through AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth aptX Adaptive. A second HDMI video output and an extra audio zone serve another room, and IP control opens the way to integration with third-party systems.

Connections
Audio inputs: coaxial digital, optical digital, USB, two unbalanced RCA analogue line inputs and MM phono with ground socket. Pre-outs on RCA: one stereo output for Zone 2 and two for subwoofers. The RJ45 Ethernet port and the HDMI sockets complete the panel. A Pure Analog mode and digital processing at up to 24-bit/192 kHz are provided. A remote control is included.
Technical data
The chassis measures 135 x 432 x 396.4 mm (height x width x depth, feet and loudspeaker terminals included) and weighs 7.6 kg. Consumption reaches 900 W at most and is below 0.5 W in standby. Colour graphic LCD display, adjustable coloured LED lighting under the front panel, fingerprint-resistant glass in Black and White finishes.
