JBL MA7100HP: high-performance 7.2 AV receiver, Dirac Live Ready
The MA7100HP is the seven-channel model of the HP line, the upper part of the MA series. It takes the 7.2 layout with DTS:X and Dolby Atmos from the MA710, but raises power to 125 W per channel, doubles the HDMI outputs, transmits as well as receives over Bluetooth and is prepared for Dirac Live room correction. The chassis changes too: it is taller and deeper than that of the MA310, MA510 and MA710.
The seven channels use low-noise Class D amplification and accept 5.1.2 or 7.1 layouts; the fronts can be run bi-amped. Being Dirac Live Ready, the unit lets the acoustic correction software be activated with a Dirac licence bought separately, while EZ Set EQ stays available for basic equalisation. The second HDMI video output and the Zone 2 audio output take content to another room. The LCD display is a colour graphic type, and an adjustable strip of coloured LED light runs beneath the glass front.
