JBL MA710: 7.2-channel AV receiver with DTS:X and Dolby Atmos
With the MA710 the amplified channels of the MA series become seven, and decoding of the immersive DTS:X and Dolby Atmos formats arrives, in 5.1.2 or 7.1 layouts. Against the MA510 it offers 110 W per channel, six HDMI inputs instead of four, a phono input for a turntable and an audio output for a second zone of the home.
Seven low-noise Class D stages feed the loudspeakers, and the two front channels can be wired for bi-amping. Video travels over HDMI 2.1 at up to 8K, with HDR10+, Dolby Vision and the VRR, ALLM, QFT and HFR gaming functions. Music is streamed through AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Bluetooth aptX Adaptive. Alongside the physical controls there is IP control, useful for fitting the unit into third-party automation systems. Calibration is handled by EZ Set EQ and the on-screen menus; a Pure Analog mode is provided.

Connections
The rear panel carries coaxial, optical and USB digital inputs, two unbalanced line-level analogue inputs on RCA, the MM phono input, the RCA pre-outs (stereo Zone 2 and two subwoofers) and the RJ45 Ethernet port. Digital processing works at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. A remote control comes in the box.
