JBL MA510: 5.2 AV receiver with 8K HDMI and network streaming
Within the MA series, the MA510 is the five-channel model equipped for 8K video. Compared with the MA310 it rises to 75 W per channel, adopts HDMI 2.1 with eARC and adds Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, AirPlay 2 and Chromecast. It remains a 5.2 design, meaning five loudspeakers and two subwoofers, and Dolby and DTS formats are decoded natively: seven channels, DTS:X and Dolby Atmos start with the MA710.
Amplification is low-noise Class D on all five channels. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision signals are supported, and the HDMI 2.1 gaming functions cover VRR, ALLM, QFT and HFR (4K at 120 Hz). The digital processor runs at up to 24-bit/192 kHz and a Pure Direct mode is available. Calibration relies on EZ Set EQ, which equalises the response to suit the room, and on menus shown on the TV through HDMI. The display is an LCD, behind a glass front treated against fingerprints.

Connections
There are three digital audio inputs: coaxial, optical and USB. They are joined by two unbalanced stereo analogue inputs on RCA, the two RCA subwoofer outputs and the RJ45 network socket. A remote control is part of the supplied kit.
Technical data
The unit measures 109.2 mm in height, 432 mm in width and 347.6 mm in depth, taken with feet and loudspeaker terminals. It weighs 5.4 kg. Power draw peaks at 300 W and drops below 0.5 W in standby. It is on sale in Black and White finishes.
