JBL L100 Classic Mk2: 3-way loudspeakers with 300 mm woofer
The L100 Classic Mk2 is a three-way loudspeaker from the JBL Classic series, meant for low stands, and the successor to the earlier model. Woofer, midrange and tweeter have all been updated to raise sound quality, and the crossover, now built in separate sections, permits bi-wiring and bi-amping through a terminal cup with two sets of gold-plated contacts. Sold as a pair: the weight given below refers to one loudspeaker.
The 300 mm JW300SW-8 woofer has a cast frame, a white Pure Pulp cone and a double spider. The midrange is handled by the JM125PC-8, a 130 mm Pure Pulp cone with a polymer coating; at the top sits the JT025Ti2-4 tweeter, a 25 mm titanium dome working with an acoustic lens and a waveguide. The enclosure is bass-reflex loaded. Two attenuators adjust the level of the mid and high frequencies separately.
