In-ceiling projector concealment system with a motorised mirror
The PCC (Projector Concealment Ceiling) is a mechanism for mounting a projector inside the ceiling, out of sight. It is aimed at dedicated home cinema rooms that have an adequate void above the ceiling.
The projector stays in the ceiling while a hinged, motorised secondary mirror comes down and steers the projected image accurately onto the screen. The system is engineered to blend in discreetly, with a compact footprint, and to keep both day-to-day use and maintenance simple. The product is intended for indoor use.
Key features
- Projector mounted inside the ceiling
- Motorised secondary mirror that swings down from the ceiling on a hinge
- Maximum load: 40 kg for PCC-1, 60 kg for PCC-2
- Lowest throw ratio supported: 1.6:1, depending on the projector, the lens and the content
- Three sizes: PCC-1, PCC-2 and PCC-3
Available sizes
The system is offered in three sizes, PCC-1, PCC-2 and PCC-3. For PCC-1 and PCC-2 the official data sheet states the maximum load, 40 kg and 60 kg respectively; for PCC-3 it gives no figures.
Installation
The PCC needs an adequate void in the ceiling of the room. The 1.6:1 minimum throw ratio depends on the projector, on the lens fitted and on the content shown, so it has to be checked for each individual system.
