Motorised in-floor lift for James Loudspeaker outdoor speakers
OSL is a Future Automation lift that hides James Loudspeaker tower speakers below ground outdoors and raises them when they are wanted.
Future Automation recommends installing in two stages, which protects the components: the more delicate parts can reach the site once first fix is done. For that reason OSL is offered as a complete assembly, as in-ground enclosure only or as mechanism only.
Key features
- Motorised movement
- Lid with drop & roll technology
- MDF fascia panels fitted as standard on the lid and on the speaker mount base
- Panels replaceable with materials of choice, for example wood or tile, in keeping with the floor around
- In-ground section made of stainless steel
- Control by contact closure, IR and RS232
Supply options
Complete assembly (OSL-6684, OSL-88): the whole mechanism is delivered and can go in as soon as it reaches the site. In-ground enclosure only (OSL-IG-6684, OSL-IG-88): the outer casing is delivered ahead of mechanism and speaker, to be laid at an earlier point in the project. Mechanism only (OSL-MO-6684, OSL-MO-88): the mechanism without casing, for fitting inside an aperture the integrator has already prepared.
Speakers and environments
The codes ending in 6684 and in 88 are meant for different James Loudspeaker tower models; the compatible model is stated in each variant. With the panels matched to the floor, the mechanism blends into the space with the speaker either raised or lowered. OSL is for indoor and outdoor use.
