CHRS motorised ceiling TV hinge with screen swivel
CHRS is the ceiling TV hinge with swivel by Future Automation: a motorised mechanism that swings the screen down from the ceiling by as much as 90° and then turns it, by as much as 180°, to the left or to the right.
The mechanism stays entirely hidden in the ceiling cavity by virtue of the MDF edge that is plastered in (Plaster In Edge), which does away with the visible flange and leaves only a minimal shadow gap around the shut lid. The CHRS is delivered in one piece prepared for installation, so fitting is simpler and mistakes less likely.

Available sizes
Each size has its own limits for screen (height × width) and weight: CHRS4 680 × 1130 mm and 45 kg; CHRS5 800 × 1330 mm and 35 kg; CHRS6 920 × 1530 mm and 80 kg; CHRS7 970 × 1730 mm and 65 kg; CHRS8 1090 × 1980 mm and 115 kg. The television may be at most 100 mm deep, 150 mm with CHRS8.
Installation
Inside the ceiling the mechanism takes up 210 mm of height in sizes CHRS4, CHRS5 and CHRS6, 220 mm in CHRS7 and 270 mm in CHRS8; its weight runs from roughly 130 kg to roughly 255 kg. The recovery systems allow the mechanism to be reached safely if the third-party control has a fault or if the power fails. Future Automation says it redrew the range starting from installers' remarks and describes its operation as close to silent. CHRS is rated for indoor use.
