True Rega sound in a compact loudspeaker
Rega Kyte is a pair of two-way bookshelf loudspeakers with phenolic-resin cabinets, hand-built MX-125 mid-bass drivers, ZRR tweeters and rear bass-reflex loading.
Kyte was created to bring the character of Rega systems to a compact loudspeaker that is easy to integrate into a hi-fi system. The cabinet is moulded from phenolic resin and internally stiffened with ceramic plates and a bracing structure developed to limit resonance. The electro-acoustic section pairs the hand-built Rega MX-125 mid-bass driver with the Rega-designed ZRR high-frequency tweeter.

Rigid, damped cabinet
Phenolic resin provides a naturally rigid structure and is further reinforced with ceramic plates and complex internal bracing. The aim is to reduce wall flexing and prevent cabinet vibration from interfering with the drive units' output. This solution keeps the cabinet compact without relying on traditional veneered-wood construction, favouring mechanical stability and resonance control instead.
Rega drive units
The two-way system uses the MX-125 driver for the mid/bass range and the ZRR tweeter for high frequencies. Both are designed by Rega and the mid-bass driver is hand built. Rear-ported bass-reflex loading supports low-frequency extension, while 89 dB sensitivity and 6-ohm nominal impedance make Kyte suitable for many integrated amplifiers, including compact models in the Rega range.
Positioning and accessories
Kyte is supplied with a rear foot that allows different positioning options. For use on conventional stands, the Kyte Stand Adaptor is available separately and provides a wider, more stable support surface. The compact construction and rear port still require considered placement in relation to the rear wall to maintain a balanced low-frequency response.
