The most versatile three-way floorstander in the Utopia line: a 16.5 cm W Power Flower midrange with NIC motor and two 27 cm W woofers, one of them with the MDS system (Magnetic Damping System) to match the bass to the room. It can be bi-amplified, like the Stella and the Grande Utopia, and it is the model of the line that is easiest to place in a room.
Like the whole Utopia line it uses W sandwich cones and a pure beryllium tweeter, an inverted dome chosen for its stiffness, with IAL2 rear loading. The midrange carries the Power Flower magnet: several ferrite rings arranged around the core, for a very efficient driver that does not compress. The internal Gamma structure stiffens the cabinet against vibration and the OPC filter looks after the phase between drivers, for a three-dimensional stage.
Cabinet
Each driver has its own separate cabinet: stacked and angled towards each other, they align the output on the listening position (Focus Time). Inside are French-made cables, separate crossovers and double terminals. The lacquer finishes have metallic colours taken from the automotive world; the alternative is wood. Built in France.
