An angled array aimed towards listeners
CCM7.5 S2 tilts the whole drive-unit arrangement relative to the ceiling.
The Bowers & Wilkins CCM7.5 S2 pair fits 254 mm circular openings beneath 290 mm outer frames. Allow 128 mm behind the panel; the grille protrudes by 8.5 mm. Its acoustic assembly is angled to the mounting plane, so orientation should be decided when the speakers are laid out, as it directs output towards the audience.
Key features
- Cut-out 254 mm; frame 290 mm; depth 128 mm.
- Drive units: 180 mm angled Continuum bass/midrange and 25 mm Carbon Dome tweeter.
- Impedance: 8 ohm, 4.8 ohm minimum; power: 25–150 W recommended.

Channels in a discreet cinema
A 180 mm Continuum bass/midrange cone works with a 25 mm Carbon Dome tweeter. The pair can serve left, centre, right or rear roles in a discreet cinema system when positions and aiming are designed for each channel. QuickDogs assist fitting. A round grille is supplied; square GR68SQ is the optional alternative. Unlike CCM7.3 S2, this is not the three-way layout with twin woofers and an integral back box.
Electrical figures and accessories
Sensitivity is 90 dB, nominal impedance 8 ohms with a 4.8-ohm minimum, and recommended amplification 25 to 150 W into 8 ohms. Response is quoted at 32 Hz to 28 kHz within ±3 dB, with -6 dB points at 25 Hz and 33 kHz. PMK C8 and BB 6C back box are listed. Check the rear clearance and angle of the array before securing the speaker: cut-out position also determines where its sound can be aimed.
The angled bass/midrange unit is different from mounting a straight-down speaker and correcting only its tweeter. Consider the orientation in the opening alongside the seating plan. At 128 mm, mounting depth is less than CCM7.3 S2's, but its 254 mm cut-out diameter remains a specific constraint. Select round or optional square grille to suit the finished ceiling without changing the acoustic aiming plan.
