Stylus 370SM is an outdoor loudspeaker with stereo inputs, sold singly: each cabinet plays left and right channels through a 165 mm twin-coil woofer and two PTD tweeters, in a closed PolyGlass box.
Stylus 370SM: stereo from one cabinet
Unlike a conventional loudspeaker, the Stylus 370SM accepts both the left and the right channel. Its 165 mm mid/bass unit, with ICP cone and die-cast basket, has two voice coils, one per channel, and above it sit two PTD tweeters with 25 mm domes. Each cabinet is therefore a small complete stereo system, suited to places where two boxes cannot be set apart, for instance an outside passage or a narrow porch.
There are two filters, both third-order electro-acoustic types crossing at 2.3 kHz. On axis the quoted response stays within ±2 dB between 80 Hz and 20 kHz, while at 30° off axis the same tolerance holds up to 15 kHz; bass extension is 55 Hz (DIN) and sensitivity 91 dB. The cabinet is an acoustic suspension design in PolyGlass that resists bad weather, water and UV light, and measures 27.3 × 19.4 × 18.7 cm for 3.8 kg.
It can be wired in two ways. In stereo each channel presents an 8 ohm compatible load, with suggested power of 15 to 50 W per channel and a ceiling of 35 W per channel. In mono the load becomes 4 ohm compatible, the suggested amplifier runs from 15 to 100 W and the maximum input rises to 70 W.
