Focal Theva Surround

Focal Theva Surround: on-wall surround loudspeaker

A sealed two-way loudspeaker less than 11 cm deep, to hang on the wall with the bracket supplied: it mounts quickly and, in black, stays discreet. It completes a Theva home cinema system by bringing effects around the listener. TNF tweeter and 16.5 cm Slatefiber cone.

Two Focal technologies shape the character of the series. The Slatefiber cone, made in France, combines non-woven recycled carbon fibres, all laid in the same direction, with a thermoplastic polymer: the result is a stiff, light and well-damped diaphragm. The TNF tweeter has an aluminium-magnesium inverted dome and a suspension in Poron, a shape-memory material taken from the company's beryllium tweeters, which lowers distortion.
