The most complete Bison tower, with two woofers sharing the same bandwidth
Totem Bison Twin Tower is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker with twin 5.25-inch woofers, a 1.3-inch textile tweeter and 90 dB sensitivity.
Compared with the standard Bison Tower it adds a second woofer operating over the same frequency range, increasing radiating area, dynamic headroom and low-frequency presence. Stated response reaches 31 Hz and nominal impedance drops to 4 ohms, making it better suited to amplifiers with stronger current delivery and rooms where greater scale is required.
Key features
- Two-way bass-reflex configuration.
- 2 proprietary 5.25-inch woofers with copper-clad voice coils.
- 1.3-inch laser-etched textile soft-dome tweeter.
- Specified frequency response of 31 Hz-29.9 kHz ±3 dB.
- 90 dB sensitivity and 4-ohm nominal impedance.
- Recommended amplifier power from 30 to 200 W.
- Second-order crossover at 2.5 kHz.
- Bi-wireable terminals and Delrin Claw decoupling base.
Twin woofers for greater scale
The two mid/bass drivers work across the same portion of the spectrum rather than being divided into separate bands. This increases active surface area and allows greater body and output without moving to a much larger single woofer. The cabinet remains relatively narrow, although height and mass increase compared with Bison Tower.
Compared with Bison Tower and Bison Monitor
Bison Tower uses one woofer, an 8-ohm load and 88 dB sensitivity, making it easier to drive and simpler to integrate in medium rooms. Bison Monitor carries the same family character into a standmount enclosure. Twin Tower is therefore the Bison choice when deeper authority, higher output and a larger spatial presentation are priorities.
Room and amplifier matching
Totem specifies roughly 30-90 cm from the rear wall and 1.2-3.6 m between cabinets. The 4-ohm load is not extreme, but it rewards an amplifier with good current capability. It is particularly suited to medium-to-large rooms and stereo systems needing dynamic weight without moving to a very bulky loudspeaker. The Delrin Claw base also decouples the cabinet from the floor without making spikes mandatory, while threaded inserts remain available for unusual cases such as very thick carpet.
