Our flagship center speaker features a carbon dome driver unit housed in a tweeter-on-top enclosure, a 130 mm (5") Continuum Cone FST™ midrange, especially important for clarity of dialogue , and two Aerofoil™ Profile bass cones. It is the perfect partner for the 705 S3, 703 S3 and 702 S3 models.
Uncompromised vocal performance
The new HTM71 S3 features Tweeter-on-Top technology, which ensures seamless integration into a surround system with similarly equipped 700 Series models.
A home for high frequencies
The 700 Series adopts the latest generation of the Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top. The more elongated shape incorporates a new tweeter loading system which produces an even freer and more open sound at high frequencies. The carefully decoupled housing is milled from a single solid block of aluminum to better resist resonances.
Sharper details
The carbon dome tweeters were made specifically for the 700 Series. They offer a marked improvement over the aluminum double dome tweeters, raising the break-up to 47 kHz, for a precise and detailed imaging.
A truly amazing sound
Thanks to its composite structure, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behavior that can compromise the performance of a conventional loudspeaker. The result is a more open and neutral sound, which reproduces voices and instruments with precision and transparency.
Clean and clear
Each three-way loudspeaker in the new 700 Series features a dedicated midrange cone utilizing four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: Continuum Cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and Midrange Decoupling, the latter capable of to ensure minimal interference from the operation of the speaker woofers.
A triumph of science
Developed with advanced computer modeling techniques, the Aerofoil™ Profile woofer has variable thickness, providing stiffness where it's needed most. The result: deep, dynamic bass.
