The Monitor XT90 pair brings music and films to a component system.
The Polk Audio Monitor XT90 pair adds two height channels to a compatible home cinema setup. Each module uses a 4" paper driver and has no separate tweeter. It is designed to reflect sound from the ceiling or be wall mounted.

Height sound rather than front channels
It can sit on Monitor XT20, XT60 or XT70 speakers, provided the AV receiver has two dedicated amplified height channels. Wall mounting is another option. Nickel-plated five-way terminals need speaker cable.
Overall response is stated as 94 Hz-22 kHz, with a 164 Hz lower -3 dB limit. Ceiling geometry affects reflected operation. This pair does not replace the main speakers or subwoofer; it extends a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X soundstage.
Placement on compatible speakers requires a clear top surface. Wall mounting gives sound a different path from ceiling-reflected use. The angled cabinet aims upward when resting on a compatible speaker; choose placement according to the room and receiver setup.
