Devialet Phantom Ultimate 98 dB: 400 W wireless powered speaker
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB is the compact model in Devialet's Phantom Ultimate range, designed in Paris and assembled in France. Inside the rounded body are a full-range driver with an aluminium dome and two side-firing woofers, also with aluminium domes, moving in sync according to the HBI (Heart Bass Implosion) layout. Amplification is the new-generation ADH, which combines an analogue and a digital stage, while the SAM software adapts the response of the drivers to the signal in real time.
Music arrives over the network with Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready, AirPlay, UPnP and Google Cast, or via Bluetooth 5.2; there is also a mini-TOSLINK optical input. The Devialet app gives access to a six-band equaliser and three listening modes (music, movie, podcast), plus Bass Reducer, Loudness and the AVL dynamic control. The speaker itself has four touch buttons and a status LED. Two Phantoms can be synchronised for stereo listening.
