The AVC-X6800H removes the need for an external amplifier in 7.4.4 systems by integrating eleven 140W channels and processing up to 13.4 channels. This is the functional step above the X4800H, which stops at nine internal power stages. Four independent subwoofer outputs, comprehensive immersive formats and Japanese construction make it suitable for large dedicated rooms.

From a direct 7.4.4 layout to 13.4 projects
Eleven power stages connect seven bed-layer speakers and four height channels without additional components. Processing to 13.4 still leaves room for expansion through external amplifiers, useful for layouts with six overhead channels or complex zones. Independent subwoofer outputs can be configured for even distribution or associated with areas of the room.
The HDMI section handles several 8K sources and supports 4K/120 video for gaming, while HEOS integrates streaming and multi-room audio. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is ready to use and the platform accepts a Dirac Live upgrade. At this level, the difference from the A models extends beyond channel count: the A10H and A1H raise chassis mass, power-supply scale and construction ambition.
Three zones and assignable amplified terminals allow the unit to serve elaborate installations, although each powered zone uses resources that would otherwise serve the main layout unless external amplifiers are added. System design should therefore start with the room's actual speaker count and identify which channels must remain permanently available for cinema use. This prevents a secondary-room requirement from unexpectedly reducing the immersive layout.
The design keeps the main tasks organised so processing, conversion, amplification and power supply can sustain many channels at once. This matters in dense soundtrack passages, where dialogue, effects and low frequencies must remain intelligible at the same moment. Pre-amplifier operation also allows external power amplifiers to be integrated without giving up central system management.
