The current 9.4 platform with expansion to 11.4
Nine 105W channels, four independent subwoofers and advanced calibration for immersive rooms.
The AVC-X3900H is the current nine-channel step, delivering 105W per channel, processing 11.4 channels and managing four subwoofers independently. It is not a more powerful X3800H successor, because channel count and output remain the same; it is the updated choice for 5.4.4, 7.4.2 or, with an external amplifier, 7.4.4. Readiness for the full Dirac Live suite broadens calibration options.
Key features
- Nine discrete power stages rated at 105W per channel into 8 ohms
- 11.4 processing and full multichannel pre-outs
- Four independent subwoofer outputs
- Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D and 360 Reality Audio
- Six 8K HDMI inputs and three outputs, one with eARC
- Built-in Audyssey and upgrade path to the Dirac Live suite
Bass control and calibration at the centre of the design
Four subwoofer outputs allow bass to be distributed and corrected more precisely than models with two parallel connections. Nine internal amplifiers already cover four height speakers in a 5.x.4 system, while the pre-outs permit later growth or dedicated power amplifiers for the front channels. It is a platform designed for projects that may evolve after the first installation.
Six HDMI inputs accept 8K signals, and three outputs assist systems with several displays or zones. HEOS adds streaming and whole-home distribution. Buyers seeking a tangible rise in power and construction should move to the X4800H, while those wanting eleven amplified channels without external power stages should choose the X6800H.
The Dirac suite supported by the platform is an optional purchase rather than an automatically included function. This allows a system to begin with Audyssey and adopt a different correction approach later. The distinction matters: the hardware provides the required architecture, while the licence, measurements and tuning remain part of the wider project.
