Canor CD 2.10

CD player with a valve D/A converter and digital inputs, with slot-in disc loading.

CD 2.10: the design

The CD 2.10 uses a 32-bit AK4490 converter with a balanced valve output stage (four 6922s). Its three digital inputs let it work as a DAC for other sources too; the coaxial input is galvanically isolated by a high-frequency transformer.

Canor is a Slovak manufacturer based in Prešov. Many of its components share the proprietary CMT technology for the circuit boards and a solid aluminium chassis designed to stop vibration.
