Why a dedicated stand
The 805 D5 is a two-way design with its tweeter mounted above the cabinet: it measures 439 mm in height including the tweeter, 241 mm in width and 322 mm in depth for the enclosure alone, and weighs 16.4 kg. The FS-805 D5 is designed around these dimensions, so that the loudspeaker works at the height and on the footing Bowers & Wilkins intended, without adaptations.
Choosing the finish
The two versions go with the four colours of the 805 D5: in the official photos the Black accompanies Stealth Black and Dark Walnut, the other the light variants. The choice remains open and is best made together with the loudspeakers.
When placing them, allow for the depth of the speaker, which reaches 363 mm with grille and terminals and adds to the footprint of the base. Set the supports on a stable floor, at the same distance from the listening seat, before connecting the cables.
