Lone Ranger + BigFoot BiWire COMBO: two specialised cables for bi-wireable loudspeakers
The BiWire COMBO is made for loudspeakers with two sets of terminals. Each cable pairs a ZERO-Tech Lone Ranger for the treble with a bass-only BigFoot, already joined on the amplifier side: a single connection leaves the amp, while two distinct lines reach the loudspeaker, one per input.
Sold as a pair: the pack contains two cables, one for the right channel and one for the left.
What bi-wiring brings
Once bass and treble travel on different cables, the powerful low-frequency signal no longer modulates the far more fragile high-frequency one. The treble cable then carries less current modulation, and the top end, together with the midrange on three-way designs, gains clarity, focus and soundstage width. The low frequencies themselves do not change, yet their harmonics are better defined in the treble cable and the bass is perceived as cleaner.
BigFoot adds RF/ND-Tech. The ground conductors of a cable behave like an antenna and pick up radio-frequency noise: a patented circuit based on common-mode phase cancellation dissipates it linearly along the whole cable and pulls RF energy off the amplifier output, whose circuits then operate with less interference. Because it is so effective, the BigFoot leg is suited only up to 10 kHz: it always goes to the bass terminals, never to the treble ones.
Conductors and noise dissipation
Both legs use solid, direction-controlled Perfect-Surface Copper+ wires, which avoid strand interaction and lower grain-boundary distortion. ZERO-Tech frees Lone Ranger of characteristic impedance, letting transient current through without compression. A Graphene+Carbon mesh and the 72-volt DBS with RF Noise-Trap complete the defence against noise; the shield drains are silver-plated in Lone Ranger and Perfect-Surface Silver in BigFoot.
Terminations and lengths
Spades and bananas are red copper, cold-welded with no solder and silver-plated by immersion, with synthetic bodies. The U-Spade and the V-Spade are clamped under the binding-post nut and differ in the shape of the opening; the Multi-Spade is shaped for posts of different diameters; the Banana plugs into the hole of the post. Lengths: 2 m, 2.5 m, 3 m and 4 m.
