Reference power cable for high-end amplifiers and power amps
Instantaneous current and absolute authority
The AudioQuest Dragon Variable Current represents the pinnacle of AudioQuest’s power line, designed for high-power electronics such as integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers . It uses Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) and Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, combined with ZERO/BASS split geometry to optimize handling of dynamic current demands. ZERO- Tech eliminates the cable’s characteristic impedance, while RF/ND-Tech reduces RF interference from the mains.
The result is a deeper and more controlled low range, a more stable soundstage and immediate dynamics, without compression.
Advanced technology and noise control
Dragon Variable Current features a DBS 72V dielectric bias system, which stabilizes insulation for improved consistency and linearity over time. The 100% Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) RF drain metal maximizes high-frequency noise dissipation. High-current terminations featuring silver plating over red copper and beryllium copper ensure stable contact and optimal energy transfer.
The structure is directional to control the correct dissipation of interference along the ground path.
High-section construction for absolute reference systems
The generous 11 AWG wire for line and neutral and 12 AWG for ground ensure high power output and stability even with the most demanding amplifiers. The blue-on-black nylon braided jacket identifies the Dragon series and guarantees mechanical strength and aesthetic recognition. A solution designed for top-of-the-line Hi-Fi and Home Cinema systems, where every detail of the power supply chain affects the final quality.
