Five channels and ARC Genesis in a 3.8-centimetre slim chassis
Anthem MRX SLM is a slim 5.1-channel A/V receiver rated at 5 x 50 W into 8 ohms, with HDMI 2.0b 4K eARC, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, ARC Genesis and network streaming.
At only 3.8 cm high, MRX SLM integrates five power-amplifier channels, multichannel processing and network connectivity in a format designed for installations where space is limited. It can sit in a cabinet, behind a display or in a rack with optional brackets while retaining HDMI, subwoofer output and IP control.

5.1 amplification in a slim format
MRX SLM incorporates five 50 W power-amplifier channels into 8 ohms and handles a complete 5.1 configuration without requiring external power amplifiers. The chassis measures 27.9 x 3.8 x 27.9 cm and weighs 3 kg, allowing the receiver to fit where a conventional A/V receiver would be too tall.
4K HDMI and eARC
The HDMI 2.0b input supports 4K signals, HDCP 2.3 and Dolby Vision, while the HDMI output provides eARC for audio return from the television. Here eARC is an HDMI function; ARC Genesis is Anthem's separate system for correcting room response.
Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and ARC Genesis
Despite its compact dimensions, MRX SLM decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and integrates ARC Genesis. Calibration adapts the response of the five loudspeakers and subwoofer to the room, following the same correction approach used across other Anthem models.
Streaming and network
Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Chromecast Audio and Spotify Connect provide playback from mobile devices and compatible services. Wi-Fi and Ethernet connect the receiver to the home network and enable browser-based control together with the integrated streaming functions.
Inputs and loudspeaker connections
In addition to HDMI there is one optical digital input and one 3.5 mm analogue input. Loudspeakers connect through Phoenix terminals and the subwoofer has its own output, a layout consistent with the goal of reducing installation size and depth.
Installation and control
Control is available through the IP WebBrowser interface and remote app for iOS and Android. Automatic power on and off assist with hidden installations, while optional rack brackets allow MRX SLM to be mounted neatly in custom systems.
