Precision, control and power at the highest level of Michi
Michi X5 Serie 2 is a Class AB integrated amplifier rated at 350 W per channel into 8 ohms and 600 W into 4 ohms, with ESS ES9028PRO DAC, XLR, PC-USB and MM/MC phono.
Two oversized toroidal transformers power an output section designed for demanding loudspeakers, while the 8-channel ESS DAC handles high-resolution digital sources. The connectivity includes analogue, balanced and phono inputs, allowing the integrated amplifier to bring much of the Hi-Fi chain together in a single chassis.

Power and drive capability
With 350 W per channel into 8 ohms and 600 W into 4 ohms, X5 Serie 2 retains substantial reserve even with complex loads. The damping factor of 350 helps control the woofers, while declared THD remains below 0.009%.
Class AB
The output stage operates in Class AB and favours continuity and control across the dynamic range. The line inputs have a declared response from 10 Hz to 100 kHz, indicating an analogue signal path designed with very wide bandwidth.
Dual power supply
Two oversized, shielded, low-noise toroidal transformers supply current to the audio section. Rotel manufactures them in-house and sizes them to reduce vibration and magnetic leakage while maintaining substantial reserve.
ESS DAC
Digital conversion uses an 8-channel, 32-bit ESS SABRE ES9028PRO. The multi-channel configuration is employed to improve precision and signal-to-noise ratio, making an external DAC unnecessary in many systems.
PC-USB
The PC-USB input supports PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz, DSD 4X up to 11.2 MHz and MQA/MQA Studio. Coaxial and optical inputs accept LPCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz for players, streamers and other digital sources.
Analogue and phono
RCA and balanced XLR inputs are provided alongside a selectable MM or MC phono stage. A turntable can therefore be connected directly to the integrated amplifier together with analogue line sources and balanced components.
Bluetooth and Roon
Bluetooth supports aptX™ HD and AAC for compatible sources, while Roon Tested certification facilitates integration with Roon. Wireless functions remain complementary to the wired connections intended for the main sources.
Outputs and controls
The preamplifier outputs allow external power amplifiers to be added or the system to be expanded. Tone controls provide ±10 dB adjustment at 100 Hz and 10 kHz, retaining simple analogue control over tonal balance.
Chassis and integration
The chassis measures 485 x 195 x 452 mm and weighs 43.8 kg. A front display, remote control and system interfaces complete a robust construction suited to its role as the electronic centre of a Michi system.
