Michi refinement in an integrated amplifier delivering 350 watts into 4 ohms
Michi X3 Serie 2 is an integrated amplifier rated at 200 W per channel into 8 ohms and 350 W into 4 ohms, with ESS ES9028PRO DAC, PC-USB, XLR, Bluetooth aptX™ HD and MM phono.
The model combines, in a relatively compact chassis, a power section capable of handling demanding loudspeakers and a complete digital platform. The 8-channel ESS DAC handles high-resolution sources, while RCA, XLR, phono and Bluetooth allow preamplification, conversion and amplification to be concentrated in one component.

- Roon Tested certification and preamplifier output.
Power and control
X3 Serie 2 delivers 200 W per channel into 8 ohms and 350 W into 4 ohms, with THD below 0.008%. The damping factor of 350 indicates a power section designed to maintain control over woofers and more demanding loads.
Frequency response
The line inputs cover 10 Hz to 100 kHz within +0/-0.4 dB; the digital inputs operate from 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±0.4 dB. The phono stage maintains full audio bandwidth for integrating vinyl into the same system.
ESS DAC
Conversion uses an 8-channel, 32-bit ESS SABRE ES9028PRO. It belongs to the same DAC family used in the more powerful X5 Serie 2, retaining a high-level digital section in this integrated amplifier as well.
PC-USB
The PC-USB input operates in USB Audio Class 2 up to 32-bit/384 kHz and supports DSD via DoP. MQA and MQA Studio are also supported, allowing direct connection to computers and software-based sources.
Digital inputs
Coaxial and optical inputs accept SPDIF LPCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Players, streamers and televisions can therefore use the internal DAC of X3 Serie 2 instead of the conversion stage built into the source.
RCA and XLR
The line inputs include RCA and balanced XLR, with sensitivities of 340 mV and 540 mV respectively. XLR allows a balanced connection with compatible sources, particularly useful with longer cable runs.
MM phono
The phono stage is dedicated to moving-magnet cartridges, with 5.2 mV sensitivity and 47 kOhm input impedance. A compatible turntable can therefore be connected directly without adding an external phono preamplifier.
Bluetooth and Roon
Bluetooth supports aptX™ HD and AAC, while Roon Tested certification facilitates integration of the amplifier into a Roon system. Wireless functions complement, rather than replace, the wired connections.
Chassis and integration
X3 Serie 2 measures 485 x 150 x 452 mm and weighs 28.9 kg. The preamplifier output allows the system to be expanded with external power amplifiers, while retaining the integrated amplifier as the source control centre.
