Primare SPA25 Prisma: integrated home cinema amplifier with 9 power channels
SPA25 Prisma combines a multi-channel processor and an amplifier in one chassis. Processing of the Dolby Atmos and DTS X formats extends to 11 channels, while amplification covers nine of them at 9 x 90 W, for an overall maximum of 810 W. Dirac Live room correction and the Prisma network player are on board too; compared with the SP25 Prisma processor, which is a preamplifier, the power stages here are built in.
The output stages run in class D with UFPD technology and are fed by an adaptive power supply: peak output reaches 145 W into 8 ohms and 250 W into 4 ohms on each channel, rising to 290 W and 450 W per loudspeaker when bi-amped. Amplifier channels are freely assignable: 7.1.2 or 5.1.4 layouts; 5.1.2, 7.1 or 5.1 layouts with the left and right front speakers bi-amped; a 7.1.4 layout once a stereo power amplifier is added for the fronts. RCA outputs for the front left, front right and centre channels make it possible to connect external power amplifiers on those three channels.

Connections
Four HDMI 2.0b inputs feed two outputs, one of them eARC and the other auxiliary, and the matrix passes 4K video with Dolby Vision, HDR 10+ and HDR. On the audio side there are five analogue RCA inputs, plus a multi-channel 7.1 input, one coaxial digital input, a USB-B port and a USB-A socket, along with pre outs for the fronts, the centre and the subwoofer. Two Ethernet sockets and WiFi provide the network link; RS232, a 12 V trigger output and 3.5 mm IR input and output cover system control.
Streaming and control
The Prisma player streams from services such as Qobuz, Spotify and Tidal and supports Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Bluetooth and Chromecast built-in. Seventeen input presets and five speaker setup presets can be customised. The backlit Prisma Remote handset, with basic control of the television, is supplied and settings appear in an on-screen menu. Finishes on sale: Black and Titanium.
