External power that separates energy delivery from signal duties in New Classic
Naim NPX 300 is the power-supply upgrade for compatible 200 and 300 Series sources and preamplifiers, using DR regulation and dedicated Burndy connections.
The single Naim NPX 300 is not a universal power supply: it is designed for compatible New Classic products such as NSS 333, NAC 332 and NSC 222, as well as selected legacy models with the correct cabling. Once connected, the internal supply of the associated component is bypassed and NPX 300 takes over power delivery.

It is not the power supply for the power amplifiers
NAP 250 and NAP 350 contain their own power sections and do not use NPX 300 as an external upgrade. NPX 300 instead serves source and preamplification electronics: in a 300 Series system it can partner NSS 333 or NAC 332, while in the 200 Series it can work with NSC 222.
A system can grow in stages
New Classic allows owners to begin with the internal supplies and add NPX 300 later. In a system containing NSS 333 and NAC 332, one NPX 300 can therefore be assigned to one component first, with external power extended to the other electronics at a later stage if required.
Burndy connections, not a conventional mains lead
The link between NPX 300 and the product uses Burndy cables carrying separate power feeds to different circuit sections. The two supplied leads are part of the supply architecture and are used according to the connected product, while mains power enters NPX 300 itself through Power-Line Lite. This separation is why NPX 300 should be treated as part of the system architecture rather than as a generic power accessory. The supplied Burndy leads are therefore part of the intended electrical architecture rather than optional signal cables.
