Built on a Hi-Fi legacy
Drawing on decades of Yamaha experience in Hi-Fi, the WXA-70A challenges
expectations of what a compact component can achieve. Advanced audio
engineering and refined workmanship combine in every detail, in pursuit of
expressive, high-fidelity sound.
DAC on Pure Ground
Derived from circuit design philosophies refined over decades of Hi-Fi
development, the proprietary DAC on Pure Ground configuration goes beyond the
conventional implementation of a converter. By creating an exceptionally clean
environment for delicate analogue signals, it preserves their integrity and
delivers greater fidelity, realism and musical nuance.
Sound optimised for your room
No two listening rooms are alike. Using the supplied calibration microphone,
Yamaha YPAO™ technology analyses room acoustics and automatically optimises
playback, while YPAO R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) manages the early
reflections that can compromise stereo imaging and clarity.
Elegance in every curve
Built with the construction care, structural solidity and attention to
detail expected of a premium Hi-Fi component, the WXA-70A adopts a rigid
aluminium chassis. The vibration-resistant structure preserves musical detail
and clarity for cleaner, more expressive sound.
Sonic precision from within
At the heart of the unit, an audiophile-grade ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC works
in harmony with Yamaha digital audio technologies to preserve the integrity of
every recording. The result is clear, focused and natural sound.
Every detail counts
Every design choice serves one purpose: better sound. From the carefully
machined casing to the gold-plated speaker terminals, each element reflects
Yamaha's commitment to Hi-Fi quality, performance and craftsmanship.
Television audio, made simple
High-quality TV audio with a single HDMI eARC/ARC cable, with power and
volume control from the television remote. Dialogue Level control improves
voice clarity without raising the overall volume.
One app, your music everywhere
Control all MusicCast devices from a single app. Choose sources, manage
playback and adjust settings room by room, or link several rooms to listen to
the same audio throughout the house.
Integration ready
Designed to work with leading automation and control systems, with Control4
compatibility. The built-in web configuration allows setup from an ordinary
browser; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be disabled individually, and a dedicated IR
input and 12V trigger are available.
